CYO Chess Club

The CYO offers a competitive chess league for three separate groups: 3rd grade & Under, 6th grade & Under, and 8th grade & Under. This co-ed league features academic competition among schools and is based on team play with each team consisting of four players. There are 5 weeks of team competition and a postseason tournament. Parish & School boys & girls are invited to join the club at any time. Competitive chess is optional and costs $45. The competition season time frame is early October – mid November. Parish and school girls & boys in Kindergarten – 8th grade are welcome to attend.  No previous experience is necessary.  The basics will be taught to beginners and everyone will learn new strategies.  Meetings will be once a month January-May and 2 times a month starting in June.  Come play for fun in the club or be part of a competitive CYO chess team.  Email Elena Bolin to join.  [email protected]
